San Jose del Monte Free College Entrance Exam Review's 10th Year of Fruitful Existence!

Another short break from travel related posts...

The San Jose del Monte Free College Entrance Exam Review Guild (SJDM FCEER GUILD) now formally announces its 10th year of Summer Review Program to incoming Grade 12 students of different High Schools and Colleges from San Jose del Monte.

For a brief background, SJDM FCEER Guild is a group composed of former students of the different high schools in SJDM who are now students/graduates of different Philippine colleges such as, but not limited to, UP, PUP, PNU, and TUP.

Almost all of the instructors, except the pioneers, are graduates of the project. The project has been running for 8 years already and has actually been featured in GMA NewsTV's program, Good News.

BRIEF HISTORY

This project started when I, together with my best buddy Euel Von Asuncion and two other equally awesome classmates, Jay dela Cruz and Bernadette Magsalin, met to plan for  a college entrance exam review project for our alma mater's, San Jose del Monte High School, incoming 4th year students. The project was first implemented in 2006, and since then has been conducted every summer.  The project's aim is to help graduating students of the different high schools of San Jose del Monte City to prepare for the incoming college entrance exams in their senior year without the need to pay exorbitant fees charged by different College Entrance Exam Review Center.

From 2006 to 2012, the review classes were conducted at San Jose del Monte High School while the 2013 and 2014 review classes found its new home at Paradise Farms National High School. It was not conducted in 2015 and 2016 because of the implementation of the K12 program.

REVIEW CLASS 2017

This year's review will be conducted at Paradise Farms National High School starting April 1 until June 4, every Saturday and Sunday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.

Anyone who is a bonafide senior high school student of a college or high school located in the City of San Jose del Monte are qualified to join the review program. Students who are studying in a high school not located in San Jose del Monte may contact Kuya Romel at 09985743756 or may comment below for consideration.

Because the guild is composed of many kind souls who want to volunteer, their service will definitely be free. We will be shouldering our own food and fare and nothing will ever come from the reviewees. However, the instructors would not be able to shoulder the expenses for the review materials that the students themselves will be using. Because of this, a measly amount of 10.00 per day of class will be collected by one of the students (who will be elected as the class treasurer) to be spent for all the hand-outs, test papers, mock exam booklets, and other materials they will be needing. Absolutely, no amount will go to the instructors.

Other Reminders

1. This review is for ALL College Entrance Exam Review and not for a specific college entrance exam alone (ex: UPCAT, ACET, DLSUAT, PUPCET, BSUAT, etc.

2. Because the school where the review will be conducted (Paradise Farms National High School) is far from public vehicles and stores where the students may buy food, it is strongly encouraged that they bring their own snack and packed lunch. They won't be allowed to go out of school during lunch break for their safety. The parents/guardians may also bring them their lunch/snack.

3. We will be asking excuse letter from the parent/guardian whenever the student will be absent in order for us to be sure that the parents know that their ward did not attend the review.

4. Registration for the Summer 2017 Review Program is online. To register, answer the following registration form:
